Bored with the same old breakfast? Mix it up and kick start your day with these two powerhouse breakfast recipes.

Crepes a la joss


  • 3 medium eggs 
  • 180g wholegrain flour
  • 50g rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp natural vanilla extract
  • 200 - 300ml milk

Blend all off the ingredients together. Add 1 serving to a heated non stick frying pan. Cook until golden brown, flip and repeat. It's done!

Banana sauce

  • 3 medium bananas
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • optional - Natural unsweetened Peanut butter (per 1 tbsp)

Heat the banana and honey together until soft. Add to the crepes along with ½ tbsp of peanut butter. Roll it up, serve and enjoy.

Nutrition information per serving: 230 calories, 9g protein, 36g carbs, 5g fat


Peanut butter and banana oat squares

These are ideal for breakfast, a healthy snack or my preferred option, a pre/post-workout snack.


  • 1 cup unsweetened peanut butter
  • ½ cup natural honey
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 50g unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 bananas
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon

Line a pan with tin foil. Spray lightly with non-stick spray.
Melt the peanut butter, honey and diced banana together until smooth in a pot.
Add the rolled oats and shredded coconut.
Stir for a couple of minutes.
Press the mixture into the pre-prepared pan.
Place in the fridge until set.
Serve and enjoy.
